A Real Preast

Desire, anger, miserliness, lust, insolence, jealousy,
Be man’s most commanding destructive six enemies,
 Great sages advise conquering these six flaws totally,
 Ever controlling our eyes, ears and tongue sincerely.

 It is so very difficult to overcome them completely, 
Rishi Vashishta succeeded in controlling them fully,
 Admiring his effulgence, tapas, principled life surely, 
‘He be preceptor’ – pleaded kings of lkshvaku dynasty.

 Vashishta, preceptor priest to Dashrath and Ram truly, 
They acted after consulting Sage Vashishta certainly, 
Vishwamitra bid Dashrath – Ram’s protection clearly,
 Vashishta advised – Ram mastered divine weapons fully.
