Sage Vashishta – The Brahmarishi

He the knower and the enjoyer of Brahman certainly,
He the eternal and originated from Brahma directly,
 As Brahma originates in universal cycle unceasingly,
 After the destruction of each cycle of ‘pralay’ surely.

He was invited to be advisor of ‘Surya Vansh’ clearly,
 But he repudiated the offer in the beginning politely,
 He wasn’t interested in position or enjoyment clearly, 
But Brahma bid him to be for the next avatar actually. 

The avatar Ram was to be born in the ‘Surya’ dynasty, 
He accepted this offer and waited for that eventuality, 
When Ram be disinterested in material delights clearly,
 So he could instruct Sri Ram that ultimate truth finally.
